Sarah Asher Tua Geronimo aka Sarah Geronimo or Sarah G. is a world class and multi-talented Filipino singer, actress, dancer, record producer, model, host, coach/judge, commercial/product endorser and tv personality . She can also draw and plays the piano. Sarah is popularly known as the one and only “Popstar Princess” and turned to “Popstar Royalty” and widely known as “Asia’s Popstar” . She is the most popular and successful performer in Asia. Geronimo was born on July 25, 1988 (27) and raised in Santa Cruz, Manila, Philippines.

Sarah’s first music lessons came from her father. Her father would practiced her everyday to develop her talent in singing. At the age of two she started singing publicly at a mall show. Sarah Geronimo’s mother would accompany her to several auditions for various television programs. When she was four years old she became a part of a TV show called “Pen-Pen De Sarapen” until she turned six. “Ang TV” (7-8 yrs old) and “NEXT (8-9 yrs old). In between those shows, Sarah would perform at shopping malls and hotel lounges in the Philippines. In 1995 Sarah was also chosen to perform during the Papal visit of Pope John Paul II.

On March 1, 2003. At the age of 14, Sarah Geronimo joined a singing competition “Star For A Night” where she won the grand prize and sang her rendition of “To Love You More” by Celine Dion. After winning the television singing contest Star for a Night in 2003. She had a managerial contact under Viva Artist Agency in the Philippines and a lots of projects followed. Under Viva Records Sarah released her very first album Popstar: A Dream Come True in (2003). She’s known as “Popstar Princess” of her generation.

Sarah Geronimo played and starred in soap operas, leading roles in movies and became a host, performer, endorser for both print and television.

She also sang the Philippine National Anthem at the pre-inaugural ceremonies of President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo on June 2004. November 2004, Sarah Geronimo released her second album, “Sweet Sixteen” that included her single “How Could You Say You Love Me”. Sarah in her own way became a pop star, a youth model to everybody.

On September 30, 2005, Sarah G had her first major-solo concert at Araneta Coliseum entitled “The Other Side” and was the first Filipino artist to grab a platinum award for a DVD copy of her concert and the only artist to have a platinum record for four DVDs of her own concert.

In July 2006, Geronimo released her third studio album entitled “Becoming” produced by Christian De Walden. The album have three singles: “I Still Believe In Loving You”, “Carry My Love” and “Iingatan Ko Ang Pag-ibig Mo”. On November 18, Sarah Geronimo was chosen by Manny Pacquiao to sing the Philippine national anthem, “Lupang Hinirang” at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas against Erik Morales.

On July 14, 2007 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. Sarah (17 yrs old) staged her second major-solo concert “In Motion”. She was tagged as the youngest solo concert artist to have performed at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. At that time she spent the rest of the year performing in the Philippines and US. Followed by the released of her fourth studio album “Taking Flight”; sold more than 60,000 copies in the Philippines certifying double Platinum. And her I’ll Be Alright became her carrier single.

(2008) Sarah G starred with Filipino Actor John Lloyd Cruz “A Very Special Love” and grossed almost Php 180 million. In the same year Sarah released her fifth album “Just Me” produced again by Christian De Walden and which she had a duet with backstreet boys Howie Dorough entitled I’ll Be Alright” in her album.

Geronimo staged her third major solo concert in Araneta Coliseum, entitled “The Next One” which marked the first time she accompanied herself on the piano while on stage. She was also recognized by ASAP for attaining platinum status for her albums Taking Flight and Just Me and for her two concert DVDs (The Other Side and Sarah In Motion). She traveled to the US in 2009 for her “The Next One” tour.

She was given the honor to sing the Virna Lisa’s 1986 People Power anthem, “Magkaisa” during the funeral of former President Corazon Aquino and Geronimo released a solo Christmas album, Your Christmas Girl in 2009. In November 2009, she staged her fourth solo sold-out concert, Record Breaker, in the Araneta Coliseum. During the concert, Geronimo became emotional while talking about her struggles trying to succeed in a music industry inundated by aspiring singers. At the same day of her concert, she released her sixth studio album, Music and Me. In December 2009, Your Christmas Girl and Music and Me both reached platinum status after a month of their release.

(2009-present) Sarah Geronimo has a TV Show titled “Popstar Diaries” the show chronicles a day in the life of pop star Sarah. It focuses on her personal and professional life as a pop star. She also received a star on the Philippines Walk of Fame at Libis, Eastwood.

On March 2010 Sarah released the DVD Record Breaker, filmed at the Araneta Coliseum, and eventually achieved triple Platinum status in December 2010.

In September 2010, Geronimo starred in a musical series entitled 1DOL which was aired on National TV.

Sarah G is best known for playing the lead role in the films: A Very Special Love (2008), You Changed My Life (2009) and It Takes a Man and a Woman (2013). All of which are in the list of highest grossing films in the Philippines that earned her three Box-office Queen titles from GMMSF Box-Office Entertainment Awards. She also received two nominations of FAMAS Award for Best Actress for these films respectively. Geronimo has a collective box-office receipt of over PHP 1 billion; with at least 6 films that have grossed in excess of PHP 100 million.

In the Year (2012-2013) Sarah Geronimo had her solo weekly musical-variety show every Sunday night titled “Sarah G. Live”.

Sarah Geronimo is among the nominees in the 2013 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards (KCA). She is nominated in the Favorite Asian Act category.

In February 2014, she was chosen as newest product endorser of Toyota.

(2013-2015) She was one of the coaches of The Voice of The Philippines(S1-S2) and The Voice Kids(S1-S2)

In the 2014 report of the Bureau of Internal Revenue, Sarah G. was the highest paid musician in the country when she accumulated an estimated income of PHP 63 million. Her contributions to music, along with her film and television work, made her a local figure in popular culture in the Philippines.

Throughout her career, Geronimo has received 11 Awit Awards, 8 Aliw Awards, 23 Myx Music Awards (the most in the awards history) and a FAMAS Golden Artist Award .

She has received as well a Best Asian Artist Award at the Mnet Asian Music Awards in 2012, Best Southeast Asian Act at the MTV Europe Music Awards in 2014 and Best Selling Filipino Artist, Best Female Philippine Act, Best Philippine Entertainer and Best Philippine Live Act at the 22nd World Music Awards. On that she became the first Filipino music artist who received an award in the World Music Awards history. Furthermore, Sarah Geronimo was nominated for 3 categories at the 2013 World Music Awards (WMA): Best Entertainer of the year, Best Live Act, and Best Female Artist. Where she competes against with the nominees including Adele, Beyoncé, Celine Dion, Christina Aguilera, Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Mariah Carey, Psy, Justin Bieber, Jennifer Lopez, Ne-yo, Madonna, Rihanna, One Direction, Nicki Minaj in those 3 Categories. And Sarah was hailed as the Asian Artist of the Year at the Hello Asia! K-Pop Awards in 2015.

Sarah Geronimo was chosen by Disney to re-interpret the theme song of its Princess franchise. She did her own version of “The Glow” by Shannon Saunder and it aired premiered on Disney Channel on December 6, 2014.

(2015), Sarah Geronimo with her song “Kilometro” represented the Philippines in the 10th International Song Contest:The Global Sound hosted by Australian jury, as one of the 70 semi-finalists from different countries all over the world and later on she advanced as one of the top 25 finalists. At the final round, Geronimo was adjudged as the winner and received the Gold Global Sound award. ISC:The Global Sound confirmed on their Facebook page that this is the first Asian country to win the contest.

Sarah is the biggest pop star in the Philippines. Thats why Xeleb Inc; the very first celebrity mobile games company in the Philippines, tapped Sarah Geronimo for its newest gaming app, Sarah G Popsters. The app officially launched in 2015 and was already available for download in Google Play for free.

Spotify Philippines hailed Sarah Geronimo as one of the most streamed Filipino artist.
